Once an Account Administrator has enabled a user with an eKare Telehealth license, that user can access eKare Telehealth using the eKare portal via a web browser, or the eKare Telehealth app on their mobile device.
To access eKare Telehealth using the eKare portal, login to the system via a web browser, then select ‘Telehealth’ from the navigation tree along the left side of the screen. A new browser window will pop up with the user already logged in to the Telehealth platform.
To access eKare Telehealth using a mobile device, download the app from the Apple App Store, then use your system credentials to login on your mobile device.
Scheduling a Meeting
Once logged in to the eKare Telehealth app, select the ‘Schedule’ button to create a new meeting. The user will be prompted to enter meeting details (fields with an * are required):
- Date/time/duration: select the date, time and duration for the meeting
- Meeting password: create the meeting password
- Site: select the Site where the patient is seen by their clinician
- Patient: select the patient to review during the meeting
- Guests: add guests, as needed; active system users affiliated with the site selected will be listed
- Notifications: add meeting notification details, as needed
- Note: Add meeting notes, as needed
Review meeting details, the select ‘Save’.
Once the meeting is saved, attendees with Telehealth licenses will receive an invitation to the meeting via email containing meeting details. This email can be forwarded as an invitation to non license-holding attendees.
To edit a meeting, the Organizer of the meeting must login, locate the meeting they want to edit, then select ‘Edit’. Make the necessary changes, then select 'Save'.
