Locking/Unlocking Wound Measurements

Wound measurements can be locked on an individual basis to ensure no changes are made, once finalized. When an image is locked, users are not able to remeasure the wound, reclassify the color composition, delete or move the photo, change the visit name (CR branch only), or update the Notes field. 

Only the Account Administrator and the Site Administrator user roles include permissions to lock and unlock wound measurements.

Locking a wound measurement

To lock a wound measurement login to the eKare portal or the eKare app and navigate to the photograph that needs to be locked. Select the menu option in the upper right corner of the screen and select ‘Lock Measurement’.

When ‘Lock Measurement’ is selected, a window pops up requesting confirmation. Select ‘Lock’ to confirm and the wound status changes to ‘Locked’.

Unlocking a wound measurement

To unlock a wound measurement login to the eKare portal or the eKare app and navigate to the photograph that needs to be unlocked. Select the menu option in the upper right corner of the screen or click on the red ‘Locked’ indicator and select ‘Unlock’.

When ‘Unlock’ is selected, a window pops up requesting confirmation. Select ‘Lock’ to confirm and the ‘Locked’ status indicator is removed.

Locking and Unlocking Measurements using the mobile app

Measurement lock/unlock functionality via the mobile app works the same as described above, except the confirmation step is omitted.

Lock status reporting

Measurement lock status is reported in the csv formatted data export noting ‘Locked’ for measurements that are locked and a null field for unlocked measurements.
