In certain settings, like a healthcare system with significant patient flow between the different sites, an organization may want to streamline user access to all sites within the account.
Account Admin can accomplish this on eKare web portal:
- [Menu] -> [Settings] -> [Preferences] -> [Restrict access] -> select No (default = Yes).
A warning message will pop up for confirmation. Be sure to adhere to your organization’s privacy policies before changing the setting.
Once “Restrict Access” is disabled, all users will have access to all sites within the account with a default role of “Site User”. This default role can be overridden through User Management if further control is needed.
With “Restrict Access” disabled, a user can also search patients across the entire account. In the search bar, select “All sites” (default = Current site).
For organizations with active EHR integration with eKare, a user can easily switch between records across different sites for the same patient. With the patient selected, click on the “Site” dropdown list available on iPhone, iPad, and web portal.
