Refine Wound Region: Exclusion

The 'Exclusion' option allows regions to be excluded from the wound calculation. The wound regions to be excluded must be defined just as is the initial wound region, with two swipe gestures to indicate healthy area and wound area.

Once the initial wound region has been identified, a '+' will appear in the lower-right.

 

Click on the '+' icon to expand the 'Exclusion' menu.

Swipe around wound region to indicated healthy area, and then swipe within wound area to define Exclusion region. This step may be repeated to define additional exclusion regions. Click 'Measure' when done. *In this example only the central bony region is being excluded from the wound computation. 

 

Results Summary

Results are summarized across multiple tabs. The total number of tabs is equal to the number of wound regions plus one. Each tab summarizes the length, width, depth, area, and volume measurements for each exclusion region, as well as, the initial wound region.

The last tab provides a summary of the wound region metrics with the exclusion regions subtracted from it.
