Perform a 2D Measurement

Introduction

2D measurement, including length, width, and area, can be performed on supported iPhones without needing a sensor attachment like the iPad. A reference marker in the form of a small sticker is required, however. Please contact the eKare support team about how to obtain reference markers.

Steps

• Ensure the reference marker is placed adjacent to, but not on, the wound.
• Open the inSight iPhone app and choose the correct patient and wound. Click the camera icon on bottom left corner then select “New measurement”.

• Center the wound in image finder along with the referene marker. The app will automatically detect the referene marker and overlay an eKare symbol.
• The recommended imaging distance is 20-30 cm. Be sure to hold the device parallel to the wound.

• Click the camera button in the middle to capture the photo.
